Port Mulgrave has lovely walks all round.
The most notable being the cliff top walks to Staithes or Runswick Bay or even Whitby if you feel strong enough (approx 11 miles but you can get the bus back). The stunning sea views are unbeatable.
The North Yorks Moors are virtually on the doorstep. You can visit the peaceful village of Goathland; you’ll recognize it as the setting for Heartbeat – Aidensfield. There is a National Parks Visitors Centre at Danby, approx 6 miles away, which can supply you with all the information you will need to enjoy the beautiful North Yorks Moors National Park.
