Seaways was originally an ironstone miner’s cottage. It has been completely renovated and updated to ensure guests have a wonderful stay in this charming cottage in North Yorkshire. The cottage offers magnificent views of the cliff tops and the sea beyond, and walks and activities galore.

Seaways cottage is in the picturesque coastal village of Port Mulgrave, close to so many delights of the North Yorkshire Coast. It is approximately 9 miles from Whitby only 2 miles from Staithes and 12 miles from Robin Hoods Bay. Hinderwell, the nearest village, has a regular bus service to Middlesbrough and Whitby.

Port Mulgrave is situated on a cul-de-sac road between Hinderwell and the North Sea and is situated within the North Yorks Moors National Park.

There are amenities in the village and several nice pubs nearby, all serving good food.

Port Mulgrave has lovely walks all round, the most notable being the cliff top walks to Staithes or Runswick Bay or even Whitby if you feel strong enough (approx 11 miles but you can get the bus back).

The North Yorks Moors are virtually on the doorstep. You can visit the peaceful village of Goathland, you’ll recognize it as the setting for Heartbeat – Aidensfield.

If you’re looking for thrills and excitement then you must visit Flamingoland near Malton. In the summer steam trains run on the North Yorkshire Moors railway – very relaxing and very scenic.

There is full gas central heating throughout and all gas and electric charges are included in the price. Bed linen is provided at no extra cost.
